Eight Alumni from Our University Are Elected to the Leading Organ of the China Law Society

News report (Correspondent Chen Bo) On the morning of March 19th, the 8th National Conference of the China Law Society was held in the Great Hall of the People. Party and state leaders such as Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu and Wang Huning attended the meeting to congratulate.

On the morning of March 20th, the 8th National Congress of the China Law Society was closed in Beijing. Wang Chen, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, was elected chairman of the China Law Society. Chen Xunqiu, deputy secretary general of the Central Political and Legal Committee, deputy director of the Central Comprehensive Management Committee, and director of the Central Comprehensive Management Office, was elected as the executive vice chairman of the China Law Society.

The conference elected 22 people including Wang Liming as vice chairman. Among them, Wang Liming (Executive Deputy Secretary of the People's University of China, Executive Vice Chairman), Gan Zangchun (former member of the former Ministry of Justice (deputy ministerial level), Lu Zhongmei (member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, deputy director of the Social and Legal Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) (Resident), head of the Environmental Law Research Association of the China Law Society), Huang Jin (Chairman of the Chinese University of Political Science and Law, Professor of Law, Doctoral Supervisor, Vice Chairman of the China Law Society) is alumni of our school. 102 newly elected Among the directors, there are four scholars and alumni of our school, namely Wu Handong (Director of the Academic Committee of the University, the former Chairman), Cao Shiquan (Chairman of the Chinese People's Public Security University), Yao Li (Vice Chairman of the University), Xu Hanming (The development of the rule of law in our school) And the director of the Judicial Reform Research Center. The new academic committee consists of 48 member, including Wang Liming, Lu Zhongmei, Wu Handong, Huang Jin and other four alumni.

It is worth mentioning that Wang Liming, Gan Zangchun, Wu Handong, and Huang Jin are classmates of the 1977th class in the law department of our University. This class is known as the No.1 class of China law school in the legal community.

It is also reported that Professor Xu Diyu, Dean of the School of Law, and Professor Kang Junxin, Dean of the Academy of Social Sciences, attended the conference.
