From June 1 to 4, Hou Zhenfa,Secretary of the CPC Committee, ZUEL, led a delegation to Hong Kong upon invitation. The delegation visited Munsang College, Blucean Capital,Sino Group and The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). In-depth exchanges were conducted on such topics as admission promotion for Hong Kong students, university-enterprise cooperation, alumni engagement and career development, further expanding the ZUEL’s multi-dimensional cooperation network with various sectors in Hong Kong.
On the morning of June 2, the delegation called on the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and reported on ZUEL’s work in educational exchanges, talent training as well as admission and cultivation of Hong Kong students in recent years.
In the afternoon, in Blucean Capital, ZUEL’s delegation was warmly received by Yang Feng, Founding Partner and CEO of this company and President of the ZUEL Hong Kong Alumni Association. Hou Zhenfa briefed the guests on ZUEL’s achievements in disciplinary development and talent training, with focuses on industry-university-research collaboration and internship base development in fintech, healthcare and other sectors. Both sides reached an agreement on advancing university-enterprise cooperation in research projects and joint talent training by leveraging alumni resources.

On the morning of June 3,ZUEL’s delegation visited Munsang College, nonprofit coeducational school in Hong Kong comprising secondary, primary and kindergarten sections. Mr LO Kwok Yun, Principal of Munsang College, Chui Suk, Assistant Principal, career guidance teachers and student representatives attended the forum. Hou Zhenfa elaborated on ZUEL’s disciplinary strengths, admission policies for Hong Kong students and scholarship schemes. Principal Mr LOKwok Yun introduced Munsang college’s holistic education philosophy and graduates’ further study outcomes. Both sides reached a consensus on strengthening the articulation between secondary and higher education and promoting exchanges between teachers and students. Thus, both sides can jointly offer more support for diversified further education pathways for Hong Kong youth.

That afternoon, ZUEL’s delegation visited Sino Group and held exchanges on deepening university-enterprise cooperation and advancing the “Ng Teng Fong Scholarship” program. Ms. Huang Ruohong, General Manager of China Business at Sino Group and Director of the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, received the delegation on behalf of Sino Group. Hou Zhenfa paid tribute to Sino Group and the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation for their long-standing support for education. He introduced ZUEL’s participation in the relevant scholarship program as a council member of the Mainland-Hong Kong-Macau Legal Education Alliance.The two sides exchanged views on university-enterprise cooperation, the promotion of the Ng Teng Fong Scholarship program, and support for young people in Hong Kong.

Afterwards, ZUEL’s delegation visited Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and held discussions with Lee Kin, Chief Executive and Registrar of the Institute, heads of the Education and Training Department and Mainland Affairs Department, as well as representatives of ZUEL alumni in Hong Kong. Lee Kin outlined the strengths of the HKICPA qualification in terms of international recognition and the mutual exemption arrangements with the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA). Hou Zhenfa stated that this exchange will further advance bilateral synergy in areas including professional qualification certification and students’ career development. In doing so, it would help build a resource collaboration platform for alumni based in Hong Kong. He also expressed gratitude to the alumni for their support for ZUEL’s development and expected them to make regular visits for exchanges.


This visit has further promoted cooperation between ZUEL and some sectors in Hong Kong, including government, business, academia and professional bodies. It will also deepen cross-boundary educational exchanges and youth development.
Also accompanying the delegation were Da Ning, Director of the Department of Alumni Affairs and Social Cooperation; Zheng Ying, Director of the Hong Kong,Macao&Taiwan Education Center, ZUEL; and Liu Qi, Deputy Secretary of the CPC ZUEL Committee of the School of Finance.
