From May 19 to 22, Zhu Fangwei,President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee, ZUEL, headed a delegation to pay a visit to Dongseo University of the Republic of Korea. Accompanying him on the trip were Deng Dixian, Director of the Finance Department; Zheng Ying, Dean of the School of International Education; and Yu Fang, Party Secretary of the China-Korea Institute of New Media.
The delegation attended the 12th Joint Management Committee Meeting for the Sino-Korean Undergraduate Joint Education Program, where both sides held exchanges and discussions on expanding cooperation and improving educational quality. During the meeting, President Zhu Fangwei had in-depth talks with Jang Je-guk, President of Dongseo University.Together, they reviewed their fruitful 18 years of concerted collaboration and reached a consensus thatpursuesthetime-orientededucation and cutting-edge industry.At the domestic level, the two universities should embrace the wave of artificial intelligence and further advance AI campaigns to empower curriculum upgrading and talent training transformation. Also, the two sides should scale up integration of enterprises and education,and improve social services. At the international level,the two sides should strive to set a benchmark for international cooperative education. Thus, they can drive high-quality development of the joint education program with higher standards.

The two sides clarified development goals for the next phase and approved the application for the joint education program of Digital Media Arts, the optimization of artificial intelligence and aesthetic education curriculums, international student exchange programs, and regular reciprocal faculty visits.

The delegation visited Dongseo University, met with Grade 2024 students from the China-Korea Institute of New Media, ZUEL, and held a forum with student representatives.They inquired about in detail about the students’ academic studies and daily lives in Korea, and solicited their opinions and suggestions on the development of ZUEL and the China-Korea Institute of New Media.

The delegation visited OKNP and held discussions with local alumni representatives. The delegation gained an in-depth understanding of the alumni’s career development. Drawing on their personal growth experiences, the alumni put forward constructive suggestions to help ZUEL optimize its talent training model.
