In celebration of Arbor Day 2025, our university held a volunteer tree-planting activity at the Nanhu Campus on the morning of March 11.Hou Zhenfa, Secretary of the CPC ZUEL Committee; Shen Zuwu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC ZUEL Committee and Secretary of the CPC ZUEL Discipline Inspection Commission; Chen Baifeng, Member of the CPC ZUEL Standing Committee and Vice President along with heads of relevant functional departments of ZUEL and more than 100 representatives of faculty and students jointly participated in the activity.

In early spring, tree-planting is in full swing. At 10:30 a.m., the tree-planting site was bustling with activity. Fresh crape myrtle saplings were ready, and teachers and students formed small groups, digging, planting, and watering together. Everyone worked together and coordinated with each other harmoniously, creating a lively yet orderly atmosphere. Especially notable were the students from different countries participating in the tree-planting activity. They rolled up their sleeves and worked with great enthusiasm. Looking at the saplings they had planted with their own hands, each student felt joyful from the labor and a sense of accomplishment for adding greenery and beauty to the campus. After a busy and intense period of work, the crape myrtle saplings stood tall and gracefully arranged, bursting with vitality in the warm spring breeze.

The activity fulfills our tree-planting duty, and contributes to build a beautiful campus. Every year, the school holds voluntary tree-planting events. It’s not only a vivid demonstration of ZUEL’s commitment to “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, but also a lively course on ecological civilization. The teachers and students take actions to foster green consciousness, bringing vitality to the ecological campus. As noted, upon the time of tree-planting Day, Yanjin County presented 12 saplings of localPhobe zhennan to our university, wishing that their collaboration –like the symbiotic bond betweenzhennantrees and spring soil—may cultivate vibrant growth and inscribe a new chapter in rural revitalization.
