5 More Major Projects:ZUEL Ranks 11th (Tied) for the number of Major Projects winning bid for the National Social Science Fund of China

News Network (Reporter Lai Siyuan, Wang Sheng) On November 22, the National office for Philosophy and Social Sciences (NOPSS) officially released the list of major projects approved by the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) in 2022.

According to the list, ZUEL harvested approval for 5 major projects, ranking first among universities of economics and law, second in Hubei Province and eleventh in the country (tied).

The number of project applications of ZUEL in 2022 is 20, of which 5 were approved by NSSFC, making an approval rate of 25%, which is another outstanding achievement after the approvals of 6 in 2021.

In addition, in 2022, three major projects of ZUEL have also got project approvals of NSSFC on studying and interpreting the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and one national major program of the 14th Five-Year Plan of the National Education Sciences in 2022 (a separate project of NSSFC in education).

Up to now, the university has has received approval for a total of 9 major projects (including the to be approved 5 projects) and major special projects of NSSFC in 2022, hitting a record high.

Standing for the national standard of humanities and social sciences in China, the major projects of NSSFC are the highest level, the most funded and the most authoritative project in the studies of philosophy and social sciences, and also an important indicator for China Discipline Ranking (CDR), summary and acceptance check of the development experience of 'Double First-Class' Universities and comprehensive evaluation of higher education.

The steady flow of major projects has greatly boosted the confidence and determination of ZUEL in promoting the “Double First-Class” Initiative and further writing new chapters of high-quality development.
