News Network (Reporter Lai Siyuan) On July 4th, National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science announced the appraisal results of the projects of National Social Science Fund of 2017. 28 research projects of our university got project approvals, including 2 major projects, 18 general projects and 8 youth projects, with a total fund of 5,900,000 yuan.
In 2017, annual project and youth project of National Social Science Fund still had restrictions on the amount. There were 130 applications from our university and 21.5% of them got approvals, which was 6.9% higher than the national average rate 14.6%, ranking the front row of the universities of economics and law in the nation, the 30th among the universities in the whole country and the 3rd in Hubei province. Comparing with 2016, the amount of approvals increased 33.3% and the total funds increased 40.5%. The projects approved covered 10 disciplines including Marxist-Leninist Sociology (1 project), Philosophy (2 projects), Theoretical Economics (2 projects), Applied Economics (4 projects), Statistics (3 projects), Politics (1 project), Law (9 projects), Sociology (3 projects), International Studies (2 projects) and Chinese Literature (1 project).
