Three New Hubei Provincial Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Bases are Founded in Our University

News Network (Reporter Wang Shiwei) Recently, informed by Hubei Provincial Education Department, three high level academic platforms of our university, namely, the Anti-terrorist Research Center, CPA Industry Development Research Center and the Socialist Core Values Research Center were chosen as the construction plans of Hubei Provincial Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Base. These three bases are affiliated respectively to the first-degree subject of Jurisprudence, Management and Marxism of our university.

Research Emphasis:

(1). Strategy research on the development of CPA industry in HubeiProvince and China;

(2). Index research on the development of CPA industry in HubeiProvince and China;

(3). Brand research on the development of CPA industry in HubeiProvince and China;

(4). Anti-corruption research on the development of CPA industry in HubeiProvince and China;

Overall Objectives:

On the basis of ensuring the entire scientific research standard and the leading position in Hubei province regarding the capacity of participating in important decisions, it is hammering at making it the central base of Hubei Provincial CPA Industry Development Research and trying to win high reputation both in domestic academic circle and the research field of the development of the CPA industry in China, thus turning it into a state-level Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Base in the end.

Brief Introduction of the SocialistCoreValuesResearchCenter: The Center director is Wang Wengui, the researcher and the current Vice Chair of the Council of our university.

Five sub-research fields are as follows: The basic theoretical research on the socialist core values; the research on the socialist core values and the economic innovation and development of Hubei province; the research on the socialist core values and the social innovation and development of Hubei province; the research on the socialist core values and the cultural innovation and development of Hubei province; and the research on the socialist core values and the construction of ecological Hubei province.

Targets of the Center: To make the center the “socialist core values” theoretical research base of great influence in China within 5-8 years. Therefore, taking that as the guidance, it is hammering at turning it into a high-end think tank to promote the innovative development of Hubei province, a talents training base for the “socialist core values and the innovative development of Hubei province”, an academic exchange base and an information resources base, thus becoming an innovative platform combining scientific research, think tank reserves, talents training and social service as one.

Brief Introduction of the Anti-terrorismResearchCenter: Kang Junxin, the current second-grade professor and PhD supervisor of the School of Criminal Justice of our university serves as the center director.

There are five research fields, namely, the strategy research on anti-terrorism, the rule-of-law research on anti-terrorism, the international joint research on anti-terrorism, the information research on anti-terrorism and the urgent handling mechanism research on anti-terrorism.

Goals of the Center: To make the center a nationally influential base in the first tier of anti-terrorism research. Therefore, taking that as the guidance, it is hammering at turning it into a high-end think tank to promote the innovative development of Hubei province, an anti-terrorism talents training base, an academic exchange, base and an information resources base, thus becoming an innovative platform combining scientific research, think tank reserves, talents training and social service as one.
