On November 19, Olivier Aptel, the President of the Paris School of Business, led a delegation to visit Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL). The two sides held talks in the conference room of the CCB (China Construction Bank) School at Shouyi Campus. Zhu Fangwei, the President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of ZUEL, attended the meeting. Liu Renshan, a Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC ZUEL and Vice President, as well as leading officials from the Comprehensive Management Office of the Shouyi Campus, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Business Administration, the International Exchange Office, and the International Education School, joined the discussion.
On behalf ofZUEL, Zhu Fangwei extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced thehistorical evolution, current development, and strategic planning of the Shouyi Campus. He emphasized that in advancing internationalization,ZUEL is committed to building a high-level international Shouyi Campus and establishing an interdisciplinary international joint research center.Looking ahead, he hoped that the two universities would further deepen their cooperation to jointly build a solid bridge for Sino-French educational collaboration,cultivating a group ofinterdisciplinary talents who are well-versed in Chinese, Europeanand world cultures, possess an internationalperspective, and can engage effectively across borders. . Hehighlighted that both sides should work together to translate consensus into action, promote the implementation of cooperation projects as soon as possible, and move towards a new stage of practical cooperation.
Aptel expressed his gratitude forZUEL’s warm hospitality. He noted that duringZUEL’s visit to FrancelastOctober, the two sides had reached reached broad consensus on such issues as joint educational programs and the establishment of international joint research centers for interdisciplinary studies. Paris Schoolof Business is committed to working withZUEL to actively advance bilateral cooperation and integrate Paris School of Business’s advanced concepts and high-quality resources into the development of the Shouyi International Campus.
Subsequently, the delegation from Paris Schoolof Businessheld discussions withofficials from the School of Information Engineering, the School of Business Administration, International Education School, and theInternationalExchange Officeregarding the advancement of student exchange programs and joint degree programs in technology management between the two institutions. A dedicated team was also formed to begin preparations for the Sino-foreign cooperative education programs.
During the visit, Zhu Fangwei accompanied the delegation from Paris School of Business on a tour of the Shouyi Campus and provided a detailed overview of the preliminary plans and development vision for the international campus.President Aptel spoke highly of the campus’s rich historical and cultural heritage, itsexcellent educational facilities and its forward-looking development plans.
