Five Think Tanks of Our University Chart the “Top 100 CTTI University Think Tanks”

On 22th December, 2018, Nanjing University and Guangming Daily published the 2018 China Think Tank Governance and Ideological and Theoretical Communication Summit Forum in Nanjing Zhongshan Hotel. Five think tanks under the platform of ZNUEL’s school of Social Sciences: Intellectual Property Research Center, “Urban and Rural Community Social Management” Hubei Collaborative Innovation Center, “Industrial Upgrading and Regional Finance”, Hubei Province Collaborative Innovation Center, Research Center for Rule of Law Development and Judicial Reform and the China Income Distribution Research Center have listed the “Top 100 Think Tanks in the University of Science and Technology”. Among them, “urban and rural community social management” Hubei Province Collaborative Innovation Center and Intellectual Property Research Center are ranked as A+ level think tanks, and the Center for Rule of Law Development and Judicial Reform is ranked as A level think tank. The “Industrial upgrading and regional finance” Hubei Province Collaborative Innovation Center and the China Income Distribution Research Center are ranked as A- level think tank. The Research on the Two Academies Organization Law (Revised Draft) > Amendment Proposal, which was submitted by the Rule of Law Development and Judicial Reform Center in our university, was successfully selected into the CTTI 2018 annual excellent works.

The theme of the forum is “Development of Think Tanks: Promote Reform and Opening up and High-Quality Development”. More than 700 experts and scholars from the central ministries and commissions, provincial and management departments of municipal think tank, China Think Tank Index (CTTI) source think tanks, research communities on think tank, and theorist circles attended the conference. The forum released a number of research works based on CTTI. According to the 2018 CTTI think tank report, by now, CTTI has collected 706 think tanks, 11992 experts, 17,878 events, and 115,421 works. This year, CTTI selected and added 105 think tanks.

“The Top 100 CTTI University Think Tanks” was released. The judging panel consisting of think tank experts, from the four dimensions of think tank products, think tank activities, think tank media influence and think tank expert subjective evaluation, comprehensively evaluates 441 college think tanks included in CTTI, and selects 100 excellent think tanks according to the scores. It was rated as “A District College Think Tank” and formed “Top 100 Think Tanks of CTTI Universities”. The selection of outstanding research works of the 2018CTTI source think tank was announced on the same day. 20 publicly-published publications such as Hope in China: A Global Speech by a Think-Tank Scholar and 10 works of suggestions like The Analysis of Domestic and Foreign Military and Civil Integration Strategies and Suggestions on China's Countermeasures won the Outstanding Achievements of the Year; 15 works such as Global Thought 2017 won the Excellent Achievements of the Year.
