News Network (Correspondent: Li Siduo and Liu Shihui; Student Correspondent: Si Shutong, Fan Mingwei, Pang Yushan, Wang Si and Qin Yuzhuo) On September 28th, the third session of the “CCB Cup” National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Colleges and Universities of Finance and Economics, which is hosted by Higher Financial & Economic Education Branch of China Higher Education Association, and is jointly undertaken by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Cooperative Group of Colleges and Universities of Finance and Economics in China, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and Hubei Province Youth Entrepreneurship College, opened in ZUEL. At the same time, the Presidents Forum of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education of Colleges and Universities of Finance and Economics in China was held here as well. These two events aim at further boosting the passion of the students in colleges and universities of finance and economics for innovation and entrepreneurship, presenting their achievements of innovation and entrepreneurship education and building a platform for the students to exchange ideas in innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
Many distinguished leaders and guests attended the opening ceremony, including: Chen Caihong, former secretary of the board of the headquarter of China Construction Bank and Distinguished Professor of ZUEL; Li Tao, Deputy Secretary of CPC and Vice President of Hubei Branch of China Construction Bank; Chen Min, Deputy District Head of The People’s Government of Hongshan District of Wuhan City; Sun Guohui, Vice President of Central University of Finance and Economics; Ouyang Kang, Vice President of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics; Qiu Weifen, Vice President of Nanjing University of Finance & Economics; Jin Zhuang, Vice President of Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics; Chen Hong, Vice President of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics; and Xiong Jun, director of Wuhan Talent Service Center. And about 300 competitors consisting of both teachers and students from 40 colleges and universities of finance and economics were present as well. Wang Wengui, Deputy Secretary of CPC of ZUEL, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the University.
In the opening ceremony, Wang Junmin, the principal of Zhongchao Internet Education co., LTD and professor in the law school of ZUEL, made a pre-release introduction of The Research Report on the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education of Colleges and Universities of Finance and Economics in China compiled with the jointly efforts of the Entrepreneurship College of ZUEL, focusing on aspects including the current situation, challenges and chances of the innovation and entrepreneurship education both in China and abroad.
At the Presidents Forum of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education of Colleges and Universities of Finance and Economics in China, 6 leaders, as well as experts and scholars made an in-depth statement about the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship education, the cultivation of entrepreneurship in the new era and the enhancement of the core competitiveness of talent cultivation from different perspectives with the theme of “The Cultivation of Entrepreneurship and Responsibility of Colleges and Universities”, which is foresighted, instructional and generalized. The speakers include: Sun Guohui, Vice President of Central University of Finance and Economics; Wen Jun, Deputy Secretary of CPC of University of International Business and Economics; Ouyang Kang, Vice President of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics; Qiu Weifen, Vice President of Nanjing University of Finance & Economics; Jin Zhuang, Vice President of Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics; Chen Hong, Vice President of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics; and Chen Caihong, former secretary of the board of the headquarter of China Construction Bank and Distinguished Professor of ZUEL.
The third session of the “CCB Cup” National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is an important part of the “Academic Anniversary” of ZUEL. Under the background of mass entrepreneurship and innovation in the new era, ZUEL, the undertaker of the competition, draws on the excellent experiences of innovation and entrepreneurship from fellow colleges and universities, as well as providing a service platform to accelerate the exchange and synergetic development of colleges and universities of finance and economics, promote the development of their innovation and entrepreneurship, and facilitate the youth to realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation through their realization of youth entrepreneurial dream.
The competition consists of the main event and the “rejuvenation of countryside” event, which demonstrates distinctive features and integrates new popular scientific and technological innovation achievements. According to the statistics, about 500 college students from nearly 100 colleges and universities have signed up to participate in the competition, and about 300 competitors from about 40 colleges and universities of finance and economics have attended activities such as annual meeting and forum, which further motivate college students to innovate and start business, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and promote the integration of social value and economic benefits.
The organizing committee of the competition determined the 31 teams qualified for the semi-finals through deliberations after hearing their defense and assessments after secret discussion, among which 6 teams from the main event and 4 teams from the “rejuvenation of countryside” event stood out and entered into the final on September 29th.
For the main event, the Grand Prize finally came to the “Huaqingjieli Green Smart Campus” project from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law; 5 projects including “Trip with Standard Size” from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics won the first prize; 10 projects including “Camel Bells on the Silk Road” from University of International Business and Economics won the second prize; and 15 projects including “To Make Better Tea Eggs” from Fuzhou University of International Studies and Trade won the third prize.
For the “rejuvenation of countryside” event, the “The RedClay Hollow” project from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics won the first prize; 3 projects including the “Relying on and Benefiting from Agriculture” project from Henan University of Economics and Law won the second prize; and 6 projects including “Wuxian” from University of International Business and Economics won the third prize.
12 colleges and universities won the Excellent Organization Prize: Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Central University of Finance and Economics, University of International Business and Economics, Southwestern University Of Finance And Economics,Zhongnan University Of Economics And Law, Zhejiang University Of Finance & Economics, Tianjin University Of Finance & Economics, Jiangxi University Of Finance And Economics, Nanjing University Of Finance & Economics, Inner Mongolia Finance And Economics College, Henan University Of Economics And Law, and Yunnan University Of Finance And Economics.
