News Network (Correspondent: Xu Jianfei) In the morning of July 10th, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the People’s Procuratorate of Wuhan and our school and the symposium on the professional construction of socialist procuratorial teams with Chinese characteristics in the new era were held in the meeting room on the 7th floor in Zhongyuan Building. Representatives of both the procuratorate and our school attended the signing ceremony, including Sun Guangjun, secretary of the leading party member’s group and chief procurator; Chen Zhongxi, deputy chief procurator; Luan Yongyu, school CPC secretary; Yang Canming, the president; Yao Li, the vice president. The ceremony was host by Yang Canming.
Luan Yongyu delivered a welcome speech. He said the agreement opened the door to closer cooperation between the procuratorate and our school, which would enhance the positive interaction between legal education and procuratorial practice and facilitate resource-sharing, advantages complementarity, mutual help and win-win. Taking this opportunity, our school, together with the People’s Procuratorate of Wuhan, will further improve communication mechanism, deepen cooperation relationship, create new cooperation models, have complementary advantages and sharing information to realize a cooperative and win-win situation with the dynamic combination of procuratorial practice and legal theory
As Sun Guangjun pointed out in his speech, it was the implement of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during his visit to China University of Political Science and Law, as well as a concrete embodiment of Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of Political and Legal Teams in the New Situation by CPC central committee that the procuratorate and school join hands together to cultivate interdisciplinary legal teaching talents and practical talents and promote the integrative development of both procuratorate and school, which was of great significance to close integration of legal education and judicial practice and the realization of advantages complementarity, mutual promotion and cultivation of application-oriented and interdisciplinary talents.
In the signing ceremony, Chen Zhongxi, on behalf of the People’s Procuratorate of Wuhan, and Yao Li, on behalf of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, signed the cooperation agreement.
Yang Canming believed, with the joint efforts of the People’s Procuratorate of Wuhan and our school, intellectual support for the top design of the national legal construction as well as useful advice and suggestions would be provided.
Following the signing ceremony came the symposium on the professional construction of socialist procuratorial teams with Chinese characteristics in the new era, where specialists and scholars in our school and procuratorial work specialists had a discussion on the construction of procutatorial teams, the deepening of the procuratorate-school cooperation and the promotion of the theory-practice cooperation. During the symposium, Sun Guangjun put forward three keywords “imperative”, “urgent” and “essential” for the professional construction of procutatorial teams.
In her speech at the symposium, vice president Yao Li stressed that the School-Procuratorate Cooperation means both sides will uphold law-based governance to strive together. Based on the framework of theagreement, she believes that there will be outstanding achievements through the concerted efforts of both side in further cooperation in think tank construction, scientific research, talentcultivation,Double Thousand Talents Plan, etc.
