News Network (Reporter Cui Zhenzhen and Xu Jianfei, Correspondent Liang Fei) On the morning of August 29th, Deputy Mayor of Wuhan People’s Government Xu Honglan, Deputy Secretary General of Municipal Government Chen Mingquan and related staff of Municipal Talent Recruitment Bureau, Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau and related staff of Jianghan District and Hongshan District visited our university and discussed the promotion of the “Project of the Return of Capital and Intelligence of Millions of Alumni to Wuhan” with Secretary of the Party Committee of our university Luan Yongyu and President of our university Yang Canming. Directors of the related departments of our university were present at the meeting.
In the beginning of this year, Wuhan proposed the “Project of the Return of Capital and Intelligence of Millions of Alumni to Wuhan” in the nation and called upon the alumni of Wuhan to take their capital and intelligence back to Wuhan to promote the development of the city. Deputy Mayor Xu Honglan pointed out that Finance and Law were the two advantages of ZUEL and also were the emphases of the development of Wuhan. Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government of Wuhan hoped to hold a successful activity of the “Project of the Return of Capital and Intelligence of Millions of Alumni to Wuhan·Special Activity in ZUEL” together with ZUEL. The activity was due to be held on September 17th.
Leaders of the university said that they would, combining the characteristics of the disciplines, make targeted deployment and keep constant contact and communication with Wuhan Municipal Government to hold a successful activity of the “Project of the Return of Capital and Intelligence of Millions of Alumni to Wuhan·Special Activity in ZUEL”.
In the afternoon, the university held an special emergency meeting to organize a special team for the activity and called up the alumni to discuss the return of capital and intelligence to Wuhan.
On the morning of September 1st, the third coordination meeting of “Project of the Return of Capital and Intelligence of Millions of Alumni to Wuhan·Special Activity in ZUEL” was held. More than 20 directors of the alumni associations from different places gathered in our university to learn the preferential policies of “the Return of Capital and Intelligence to Wuhan” and communicated with Secretary of the Party Committee Luan Yongyu, President of the university Yang Canming and directors of the different schools about how to hold the activity successfully.
To give a full play to the function of the university of serving the society and answer the call of Wuhan, the university determined the theme of the special activity as “to Promote the Development of Wuhan with Financial Laws and Modern Service Industry (Make Wuhan and ZUEL Shine Together with the Boost of Economics and Law)” considering the characteristics of the subjects and the advantages of the alumni of our university.
In the meeting, Alumnus Li Pengye of the Foshan Alumni Association expressed his intention of setting up a regional headquarter of a listed company in Wuhan. Alumnus Wang Baizhi from Guangzhou Alumni Association took 14 companies of the industrial chain to get in touch with the East Lake District and the West Lake District after getting the invitation from the university.
At noon of the same day, the university held a talkfest of the alumni discussing the preparations of the special activity of the Return of Capital and Intelligence to Wuhan and so on.
