News Network (Reporter Qu Daizhou) On July 31th, 2017, the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC announced the appointment of Tian Guoli as Secretary of the Party Committee and a candidate for the new Chairman of China Construction Bank and the appointment of Chen Siqing as Secretary of the Party Committee and a candidate for the new Chairman of Bank of China.
Alumnus Tian Guoli and Alumnus Chen Siqing, both of whom were very concerned about the construction and development of their alma mater, were graduated from Department of Financial Credit of Infrastructure (which is now School of Finance) in 1983 and in 1982 with bachelor degrees.
Biography of Alumnus Tian Guoli:
Mr Tian Guoli is a member of Communist Party of China who was born in 1960. He is now Secretary of the Party Committee and a candidate for the new Chairman of China Construction Bank. At present, he is Chairman of China Banking Association and Director of Asian Financial Cooperation Association. He was the former Vice President and the former President of the sub-branch, the former Vice President of the branch of Beijing, the former General Manager of Banking Department of Head Office and Assistant to President in China Construction Bank. In his time in China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd., he was Vice President, President and Chairman. He held several posts simultaneously in China International Trust Investment Corporation Group including Vice Chairman, General Manager, Chairman of China CITIC Bank and Non-executive Director. He also was the former Chairman of China CITIC Bank. In Bank of China, he was Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, Non-executive Director, President and member of Strategic Development Committee of the board of directors. He was elected as the member of Monetary Policy Committee and State Development Planning Commission of the Experts of the 13th Five-Year Plan.
Biography of Alumnus Chen Siqing:
Mr Chen Siqing is a member of Communist Party of China who was born in 1960. He is now Secretary of the Party Committee and a candidate for the new Chairman of Bank of China. He was the Assistant General Manger of Hong Kong Branch, Assistant Vice President of Fujian Branch, Manger of Risk Management Department of Head Office, President of Guangdong Branch of China & South Sea Bank. He was also Vice President, Deputy Secretary, Vice Chairman and President of Bank of China and doubled as Non-executive Director of Bank of China (Hong Kong), Chairman of BOC Aviation, Director of Trade Finance Committee of China Banking Association and Vice Chairman of China Chamber of International Commerce. He also took the posts of Chairman, Legal Representative and Vice President of China Culture Industrial Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd.
